Innovative Device Donated by Stanford Private Wealth Management. Donation of $6 Million Also Announced

Memphis, TN (May 22, 2006) - Stanford Private Wealth Management has presented St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with the world's first commercial VeinViewer, delivered to a hospital. The presentation was made today along with a $6 million gift to support the hospital's International Outreach Program (IOP).

The VeinViewer was developed by Memphis-based Luminetx Corporation and is the only device of its kind to use the combination of infrared light and projection technologies to locate veins and reproduce an exact image that is projected onto the patient, making the process of inserting needles and catheters more efficient and much less traumatic for both patient and clinician. By imaging the vasculature, clinicians have the ability to visualize the location of the target area and observe any movement of the vasculature regardless of a patient's age, body type or skin tone. The device was recognized by Time magazine as one of the most innovative medical inventions.

This VeinViewer, with serial number #1, was purchased by Stanford and donated to St. Jude, the world's premier pediatric cancer research center. Stanford was a lead investor with Luminetx Corporation, a developer and marketer of biomedical technologies founded in 2005 and located in the biotech district of Memphis.

According to R. Allen Stanford, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stanford, this technology is revolutionary, and its ability to reduce the anxiety associated with inserting needles is particularly important for the patients of St. Jude. "This device is an amazing breakthrough in delivering compassionate care, and we believe it's going to make life a lot easier for both patients and those who take care of them," Stanford said. "If anybody deserves access to this wonderful device, it's the brave children of St. Jude. Their heroism and happiness in the face of their own adversity is truly inspiring, and anything that helps lessen their discomfort is a gift that is definitely our pleasure to give."

Mr. Stanford toured the hospital today and later will join PGA TOUR officials to announce details of the 2007 Stanford St. Jude Championship as next year's tournament will be called when Stanford takes title sponsorship.

In addition to presenting the VeinViewer, Stanford is also supporting St. Jude's International Outreach Program (IOP, established 1991). The program partners with more than 16 countries including many South and Central American countries - a region in which Stanford has a significant presence. The IOP's mission is to improve the survival rates of children with catastrophic illnesses worldwide, through the transfer of knowledge, technology and organizational skills. St. Jude doctors sponsor clinics and training sessions in these countries to share information on treatment options, how to detect diseases, and other medical knowledge.

Mr. Stanford said the gift to the IOP and the gift of the VeinViewer are part of the company's ongoing commitment to support St. Jude. "We have selected St. Jude as our charity of choice, and we will continue to look for opportunities to support the mission that St. Jude is so passionately committed to. We only hope our passion for giving to St. Jude can meet their passion for curing childhood diseases," he said.

John P. Moses, Chief Executive Officer of ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, said St. Jude is grateful for the gifts. "We're very fortunate to partner with Stanford, which has made a generous commitment to support St. Jude on a variety of levels by donating the VeinViewer, contributing $6 million toward our international outreach efforts, and stepping up to take on the title sponsorship of the Memphis PGA TOUR event," said Moses. "Stanford recognizes the depth and breadth of what St. Jude is accomplishing, and we are truly appreciative of Stanford's sincere and generous gifts to the children of St. Jude."
